About

I began quilting 30 years ago.  I combined my passion for sewing, quilting and teaching into a business that is truly on the go – Wendt Quilting.  I have a B.S. in Home Economics Education and taught Home Ec for 8 years (back when it was still called Home Ec!).  I started teaching quilting internationally in 1993 while living in Cairo, Egypt.  I now teach at guilds, shops and national shows.  A unique quilt teaching opportunity even took me to villages in Cambodia.

My article “Teaching the World to Quilt” was published in AQS’s American Quilter.  I developed Brilliant Bindings tool in 2007 and began my business the same year.  I self-published 2 longarm project books and 25 unique published quilt patterns to date.  I was a guest on Quilt It!  the Longarm Quilting Show demonstrating building and binding a quilt on a longarm.  I had the honor of being the featured quilter in the Winter 2012 issue of The Professional Quilter.  My quilt “Escaping Time” was on the cover.
