Another city…another show!  I finished setting up my booth today for the AQS Quilt Week in Des Moines, IA.  The show opens tomorrow and you can find me in booth #825.  I’ll be doing the Learning Center Demo on Thursday at 2pm!  Come by the booth for continued demos on Brilliant Bindings and using the tool!  Hope to see you there!

I did some piecing tonight and realized I left most of my pins at home.  So, I needed a way to mark my centers without pins.  I have done this technique before over my many years of sewing….

Mark with a finger pressed crease!

Finger press a crease in the center of two pieces you want to join.

Align the creased centers and no extra pins needed!

#1 – Finger press a crease into the centers of pieces to join when no pins are handy or to save time.

And to save electricity and time running to the ironing board…

#2 – Finger press the seams to save time!

Three blocks pieced tonight and only the sewing machine was plugged in.
