So, I’m on the road again. Daytona Beach will be my first quilt show of the season. AQS Quilt Week! And what does that mean…seeing old friends, meeting new friends, laughs, hugs, and FOOD!
Krispy Kremes for breakfast…
Lunch in a race car (we are in Daytona, after all, and the 500 was just on Sunday)…
and Dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack…
Yep, a great way to start the show season!
Networking has begun. We’ve met up with LuAnn Farr of Winline Batting. She and I both are doing a free demos tomorrow in the Learning Center. My demo is at 10am, “Bindings Aren’t Boring – They’re BRILLIANT!” I’ve talked bindings many times. So today I’ll talk batting!
#1- For best results, use batting that is needle punched with a scrim.
#2- Put scrim on the bottom. The fibers of the batting are needle punched into the scrim. You want to quilt the same way it was punched.
I LOVE Winline’s 100% Bamboo batting! It is light, soft and washes up beautifully with that yummy drape. Checkout her website at Winlinetextiles.com
Come see me at the show! Booth #1118. A huge thank you to Michelle Banton to helping and being my minion!!
