Hello quilting friends! I posted yesterday about the Quilt Candy Virtual Show of Tips and Techniques. I’ll be coming to you on Thursday at 2pm EST. All times are listed as EST (Eastern Standard Time), I don’t want you to miss one if you are in another time zone! Once the video is finished I will post it to my Wendt Quilting Facebook page. If you miss the live event, you can get to it at your convenience. I will repeat the tip again on my Instagram page. My Instagram page (DebbieWendtQuilting) as very little information…it is relatively new skill I’m trying to learn. These are the times I feel very OLD SCHOOL! I’m slowly working my way into the world of technology and how I can use it in my world of quilting.
I have taken a couple of Zoom classes with my quilting buddies and I’m ready to take the jump into teaching online. Are you interested???? I’m looking at dates/times and classes to teach. Stay tuned and you will be the first to know when I schedule a class!
Speaking of teaching…I will be teaching 2 classes at the rescheduled Paducah Quilt Week September 2-5 this fall. Fingers and toes CROSSED we have the show! They have not updated the Quilt Week website as yet, but keep a look out. My “Tiny World” will be Wednesday Sept. 2 from 5-8pm. This is the little house and tree mug rug. A great project to learn foundation piecing. Then on Friday, Sept. 4 from 5-8pm, “Become a Brilliant Binder”. Make all your bindings BRILLIANT! A great class to learn the basics of bindings!
I hope to “see” you live on Thursday on my Wendt Quilting Facebook page at 2pm EST. I’ll share many tips on the live video. I’ll leave you with my two tips for today.
#1 – Take some time to learn new techniques. I love picking up tips from others……ya never know what you might learn.
#2 – Support the quilt designers of the industry. They share their love of quilting in so many ways.
in quilting,
