The second Sneak Peek of the Bear Paw Designer Challenge was yesterday. I am keeping the total reveal until next week. I’ve got some mad sewing to do in the next few days! My Peek is below. I’m doing a different triangle shape from the traditional half-square triangle!

This is a busy week as I’m also participating in the Summer Scrap Elimination put on by Swan Sheridan. You can read about it on her website. Swan Amity Studios. There are a number of designers that are sharing ideas to use up your scraps. Swan will have a course offering much more about working with scraps. My day is Thursday, yes! busy week!! I’ve done a bit of a scrappy take on one of my favorite projects and tool, Hex-a-ma-jig Jr.. That means I’m working with 2 1/2″ strips. Who doesn’t have those laying around? <grin>

A couple of tips when working with 2 1/2″ strips. Remember, all roll strips are not equal. Some are cut with straight edges, others with a pinked edge. #1 – be sure to measure, they may be wider or narrower. If they have a pinked edge, #2 – also measure, is 2 1/2″ at the outside edge or the inside dip of the zigzag pinking.
I’ll be back on Thursday for my Scrap Elimination project….Summertime Scrappy Christmas
